Twelve free courts at Jaquith, three indoors with a day pass, and a Facebook group that'll tell you where the game is. Bring a paddle.
Two ways to play out here.
Newberg Pickleball Club is active and vibrant with around 455 players, and there’s usually a game happening somewhere. The best way to find out where (and to hear about tournaments) is to message the group on Facebook. You’ll get a response faster than you think, probably from my dad, who is a local pickleball fanatic. If you chat with Hunter, tell him Lauren says hi.
They play at two spots. Jaquith Park has 12 courts and it’s free. Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center on Main has 3 indoor wood courts with permanent lines and portable nets. Membership required, though day passes are available.
Show up with a paddle and you’ll have plenty of people to play with.

If you’re bringing a group of players to the valley, this is the one to book, and book it early.
Willamette Valley Wine & Pickle puts you with Wes, a Pickleball Hall of Fame inductee, for a small-group clinic, then a curated luncheon, then a caravan to a boutique winery for a private tasting. Seven hours, start to finish, and every part of it is planned.
Groups of 6 to 16. Players get sorted by level — 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. Coaching at 1:8 maximum. Everyone goes home with a swag bag.
Bring your own group or join one that’s forming.
Jessica runs it, and she also owns The Painted Lady, which tells you something about the lunch. She has insider pricing on lodging if you’re staying, and she’ll work around dietary needs if you email ahead.

Playtime Schedule lists a few private courts around Newberg you can rent by the hour. Amy’s is covered, has lights for a small fee, benches, and parking for seven cars. Bring paddles and balls. You sign a waiver when you get there.
Good if you’ve got a group and don’t want to wait for a court.
Bring your own paddle. The club shares gear with members, but pack one if you’re visiting.
Jaquith is free and has the most courts. Start there.
Play in the morning, taste in the afternoon. Wine & Pickle builds the day that way for a reason.
Some places you can stay have courts. Inn the Ground does. Ask when you book.
