The McMinnville location of Stickmen Brewing Company, a Tualatin-based brewery that opened here in 2024. Founder Tim Schoenheit was working in another industry and home-brewing as a passion project before starting Stickmen in 2012 as a Lake Oswego brewpub. The name came from the original menu — yakitori-style grilled skewers, making it a brewery and “skewery.” He later moved production to Tualatin, scaling to a 60-barrel brewhouse and beer hall, and added locations in Happy Valley in 2022 and McMinnville in 2024, closing the original Lake Oswego pub.

The McMinnville pub seats 75 with 28 taps, two large televisions, and garage-style doors that roll up to a street-facing patio. Wood-fired pizza anchors the menu, baked in an Italian-imported oven fired with alder, oak, cherry, and other hardwoods, producing a thin, cracker-style crust. Salads, appetizers, wine, cider, and a limited cocktail list round it out. Gluten-free crusts and vegan options including a cheese alternative are available.

The beer range is deliberately broad. The Bees Knees, a blackberry honey ale with Tettnanger hops, is the most popular; the lineup typically includes IPAs like FBomb and Siren Hazy, Czech pilsner, fruited wheat beers, barrel-poured dark ales, and seasonal releases running to twenty or more.

Weekly programming includes happy hour Monday through Friday 2–5 with a dollar off pints and pizzas, Tuesday pepperoni pizza and pint deals, bingo on Mondays, trivia on Wednesdays, and free live music Thursdays 6–8 with 30% off bottles of wine. The patio is covered and pet friendly, and the room is built for families.

Common questions

Is it family-friendly?
Yes — a large open room with flexible seating and a menu with range.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, on the covered patio.

Are there gluten-free and vegan options?
Both — gluten-free crusts and a vegan cheese alternative, plus salads.

What should I order?
The Bees Knees blackberry honey ale is their signature. On the food side, the pizzas are thin and cracker-style, so know that going in.

What’s happening during the week?
Happy hour Mon–Fri 2–5, Tuesday pizza-and-pint deals, Monday bingo, Wednesday trivia, and free live music Thursday 6–8 with 30% off wine bottles.

Is this the same as the Tualatin location?
Same company and menu, different room. Production happens in Tualatin.

Is there parking?

A private lot, though it fills at lunch. More space in neighboring lots after business hours.
