Newsberg's first Oktobergfest, in The Allison's Chef Garden with the Chehalem Mountains behind it. Five local breweries (Heater Allen, Wolves & People, Long, Chehalem Valley, Coattails) each pour a German-style beer and a fresh hop, and The Allison's kitchen does house-made brats, krautwurst and pretzels with beer cheese. Stein-holding competition at 5. 21 and over, free parking, and only 50 branded steins, so get there early if you want one.
