While we absolutely love our Oregon wines, there are times when your palate craves something bolder, richer, and a little more spirited. Enter the Wine Country Whiskey Trail—a collection of exceptional craft distilleries scattered throughout wine country. From grain-to-glass whiskey makers to innovative spirits pioneers, these distilleries are crafting world-class bourbon, rye, gin, and vodka with the same dedication and terroir-driven philosophy that made Oregon wines famous.
The Wine Country Whiskey Trail features six distinctive distilleries, each with its own story and signature spirits. Branch Point Distillery showcases authentic grain-to-glass Oregon whiskey using locally-sourced grains and traditional methods, while Brixeur Spirits brings a winemaker’s approach to distilling, crafting vodka from estate grapes and aging whiskeys in repurposed Pinot Noir and Riesling casks. Ransom Spirits has been handcrafting award-winning spirits since 1997 on their organic farm, reviving 19th-century recipes including the legendary Old Tom Gin.
Killdeer Distilling is a family-owned operation where bourbon, rye, and vodka are crafted in a converted bull barn high in Ribbon Ridge. Ewing Young Distillery honors Oregon’s first distiller with carefully blended whiskeys on a historic 147-acre thoroughbred farm, and Bull Run Distillery has been producing Oregon Single Malt Whiskey and unique barrel-finished spirits in Portland since 2010.
Whether you’re a whiskey connoisseur or simply curious about craft spirits, the Wine Country Whiskey Trail offers intimate tastings, behind-the-scenes tours, and the chance to meet the passionate distillers behind every bottle. Take a break from the vineyard and discover why Oregon’s spirit scene is raising the bar—one pour at a time.
