Thirty-six rooms half a block off Third Street, opened in 2018 by locals who’d been planning it since 2010.

Every room is different. Original art and furnishings from local makers, Pendleton robes, and complimentary espresso around the clock. There are Dutch cruiser bikes to borrow, which is the best way to see McMinnville and costs nothing.

The Drawing Room is the one people don’t know about — a hidden room with a fireplace you can book for a private dinner.

Cypress downstairs does Mediterranean cooking, closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rooms run from compact Micro Studios up to a penthouse, so it works at more than one budget. Dog-friendly, which matters here since Tributary down the street isn’t.

Travel + Leisure readers have voted it into the top ten hotels in America three times, and it’s in the Michelin Guide.

The same team runs Third Street Flats, eleven vacation rentals in two historic downtown buildings, if you want a kitchen or more space.
