Minthorn Mercantile is my shop on First Street in downtown Newberg, and it’s also what funds this site. Every guide here, every listing, every hour of research — the shop pays for it. So take this listing for what it is.

What I carry is timeless apparel for everyone, with a bias toward American small brands doing the right in terms of sustainability. They are goods built to last rather than to be replaced. Men’s and women’s, classic cuts that won’t look wrong in five years. That’s a harder thing to find outside Portland than it should be, and it’s the gap I opened to fill.

Alongside the clothing are our own designs for shirts and hats, and goods from other small makers.

You’ll usually find me at the counter, and there’s a reasonable chance I’ll be mapping out someone’s wine country itinerary when you walk in. If you want help planning yours, come say hello — I’d rather do it in person than over email.
