Two guest houses on Beacon Hill’s Yamhill-Carlton estate, on different parts of the property, both looking over the 40-acre vineyard and out across the valley.
The Cabin is built entirely of cedar and sits at the highest point of the vineyard. Wrap-around deck, and the architecture is unusual enough that they mention it themselves. This is the one for a couple who wants the view and nothing else.
The House is the larger of the two and set up for families or a group of friends sharing a weekend.
Club members get preferred pricing on both.
The property was planted by Tony Soter in the late 1990s before he built Mineral Springs Ranch. George Hillberry and Carla Rodríguez bought it in 2011 after stopping in on a Sunday drive. It’s LIVE certified and Salmon Safe, and they make one of the better Albariños in Oregon.
The tasting room is Friday to Sunday, 11 to 4:30, and closed Monday through Thursday — so plan your tasting around your stay, not the other way round.
About fifty minutes from Portland.
Yes — you could take both houses, and they host weddings and private events on the property.
