Overview
Address Berry Creek Garden, Northeast Alpine Avenue, McMinnville, OR, USA Hours
Open until 5:00pm
Berry Creek Garden opened this year in the courtyard outside Mac Market, behind a set of blue doors.
Lee, who owns it, stocks natives and plants that can handle a dry Willamette summer. That sounds like a small thing until you’ve watched something die in August that you bought in May. Alongside the natives are varietals you won’t find at the big stores, primroses in every color come spring, and a good selection of tools.
The real reason to go is that Lee will help. One customer showed up with a few pots from home and no plan, and left with a collection that worked together. You don’t get that at a garden center.
You’re in the Granary District, in the courtyard of the old shoe grease factory, with Honey Pie Pizza, Alea, Wellspent Market, and Day by Day all a few steps away. Coffee, a plant, lunch, groceries, one parking spot.
Closed Monday through Wednesday.
Yes, recently opened.
