Wolves & People Bar

The second location from Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery, opened in downtown Newberg in June 2026 as a bar and live music venue. The space is a refurbished 1940s auto shop attached to the 1888 building at the corner of First and Meridian — the oldest commercial building in Newberg, originally home to the town’s first bank and the Newberg Graphic newspaper. Renovation stripped the interior to the studs, exposing original brick and adding a pressed tin ceiling, with period-consistent detail throughout. Historical elements from the building were preserved, including the second boat ever registered in Yamhill County, once owned by the original proprietor, now mounted vertically in the space.

The venue exists because of what the farm location legally can’t do. Amplified live music, food, cocktails, wine, and cider all fall outside what’s permitted at the working farm, where zoning disputes and a road closure had also made access difficult. Owner Christian DeBenedetti built this instead of closing the farm, drawing on relationships across the music industry — including the curators of Pickathon — with the aim of giving Newberg a year-round stage.

Fifteen taps pour the full Wolves & People range plus guest beers, with one line reserved for nitro and another fitted with a Czech Lukr faucet for pouring European lagers with a dense wet foam cap. Cans, bottles, and merchandise are available to go. Briar Ridge BBQ has been serving a limited menu on site pending build-out of the building’s kitchen, and a separate fine dining concept from an area chef is planned for the attached space. Bluegrass anchors the programming, carrying forward the Thursday nights that built a following at the farm and the Newgrass Festival each March.
