Little Bird Boutique

Timi Schulze started Little Bird in 2017 out of her home in Sherwood, selling online with occasional events and local markets. By spring 2019 she’d decided it was time to stop traveling and set up somewhere permanent. A friend found the space on First Street in Newberg, and the exposed brick and original flooring settled it. Her words: it was a no-brainer.

The stated goal hasn’t changed since the living room days — stylish, easy-to-wear pieces for women who want to feel confident and comfortable. In practice that means clothing curated for the Pacific Northwest specifically: pieces that work with rain and an active life rather than fighting them. Dresses, tops, bottoms, outerwear, loungewear, and jewelry.

Alongside the clothing sit home decor and gifts, with a good number of Pacific Northwest-made products, locally made candles, and pieces from nearby creators.

The service is what shows up in nearly every account, and specifically the styling. Staff will tell you honestly what works for your shape, and they’ll help you assemble a gift. One visitor drove three and a half hours for a girls’ weekend, realized she’d left every dress and skirt hanging in her closet at home, was sent here by a winery host, and left with two full outfits — despite wearing a larger size than the shop typically stocks.

They ship, and quickly. One customer found a jacket by reverse image search, ordered, and had it in four days.

Open seven days, which is unusual downtown.
