Late Sky is a small family winery on Herring Lane outside Newberg, run by Andy and Stephanie. The tasting room is the thing people describe first: floor-to-ceiling glass and heavy timber looking out across their own vines toward the Dundee valley, with guests repeatedly reaching for the same comparison — a treehouse, but a luxurious one.
What makes a visit unusual is the booking model. They take one group at a time, which means you have the room and the view entirely to yourselves. Tables are set with personalized name cards. The owners host personally, and guests consistently describe being walked through not just the wines but the broader history of Oregon winemaking.
The vineyard is farmed organically and the work is done by hand, with the whole family involved. It’s roughly an hour from Portland, though the setting makes it feel considerably further out.
