Antica Terra

A winery founded in 2005 by Maggie Harrison, formerly assistant winemaker at California’s Sine Qua Non, producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from an eleven-acre vineyard on a rocky hillside in the Eola-Amity Hills. The site was first planted in 1989 within an oak savannah clearing, and its geology is unusual for the region — shallow soils over marine sedimentary rock rather than the deeper volcanic or flood-deposited soils found across most of the Willamette Valley. Production is small, roughly 2,000 cases a year, distributed primarily through mailing list and wine club. Harrison also produces the Lillian label from Santa Barbara.

All visits are private and by appointment at the Dundee property. Tastings pair current-release wines with a rotating selection of bottlings from around the world — grower Champagne, Burgundy, and rare or esoteric wines — alongside seasonal food from chef Timothy Wastell, who won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific in 2025. Options range from a seated tasting to A Very Nice Lunch, an extended multi-course meal. The team also arranges custom itineraries and immersive activities including pasta making, wine blending, natural dyeing with foraged plants, and vineyard and oak savannah walks. Harrison has been the subject of a New York Times Magazine profile shortlisted for a James Beard Award.
