The Four Graces

Founded in 2003 when Steve and Paula Black purchased an existing Dundee Hills vineyard as a family retreat and began converting it into a sustainably farmed estate. The winery is named for their four daughters. In 2005 they added the Doe Ridge property in Yamhill-Carlton, deliberately choosing a different appellation for contrast; forty acres there are farmed under the LIVE program. Foley Family Wines acquired the business in 2014, its first Oregon purchase, and the property now sits within the Foley Wines Dundee Hills group alongside Black Walnut Inn, Grange Estate, and the Anthology dining experience.

Production centers on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc, drawn from four estate vineyards across the valley: Foley Family Estate and Black Walnut Estate in the Dundee Hills, Doe Ridge in Yamhill-Carlton, and Weathergage in the Van Duzer Corridor, plus purchased fruit from selected sites. The Graces Tier bottlings are structured to show the differences between those vineyards side by side. Winemaking is led by Tim Jones.

The tasting room is a newer building perched above the vineyards, spacious inside with substantial outdoor seating and panoramic views. Snacks are available with tastings, and hosts are equipped to walk guests through comparative pours — including how elevation changes the same grape from the same vintage.
