Miss Hannah’s Popcorn

A family-operated gourmet popcorn company founded in 2001 by Mike and Linda Jodoin, who began selling kettle corn at festivals, farmers markets, and fairs across Oregon and beyond. They named the business after their daughter Hannah, who grew up homeschooled and on the road with the company. After studying human development and family sciences at Oregon State and working briefly in youth ministry, she returned to help manage the family’s first year-round store and eventually took over as CEO.

The company now operates retail locations and a production kitchen in Newberg, where every batch is hand-popped and hand-stirred in small quantities. More than twenty flavors span sweet to savory, including Sea Salted Brûlée, caramel, kettle, snickerdoodle, Hawaiian Hurricane, strawberry balsamic, and a Secret Home Recipe launched in 2024 based on batches Hannah had been making at home for years. Mushroom kernels are used for coated flavors and butterfly kernels for lighter, salt-based ones.

Popcorn is popped in soy oil rather than butter, which makes many flavors vegan, and all wholesale offerings are gluten free. The company is certified by the Oregon Department of Agriculture and uses primarily non-GMO corn. No preservatives are used; clear bags keep popcorn fresh for up to four months unopened. The shop also carries drinks, merchandise, candles, and cookies, and ships nationwide. Miss Hannah’s popcorn appears at retailers around the region including Market of Choice.
